Greenford Car and Commercial Sales, Oldfield Lane North

The first thing passengers leaving Greenford Station see is this car sales premises across the road. If they are lost they may well ask the person standing outside for directions – they’ve found the right person because Phil probably knows everyone in Greenford and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the area. A location opposite an Underground station must be perfect because so many commuters park nearby and take the train into central London, but it has also been a location of another kind: if you take a close look at an episode called “The Final Cut” from BBC TV drama “Waking the Dead” you will briefly see Greenford Car and Commercial Sales in the part where Spencer looks for his father. There’s a reason why this kind of local dealership is in business for decades. Everyone who lives within walking distance buys a car from it (including us) and they usually go back again because the service has been reliable.
