Ealing Half Marathon, Cuckoo Avenue

The first Ealing Half Marathon was held today and this is the point at which the course touched Greenford. The start was delayed because there had been a traffic incident on the course and some drivers who were unaware of the road closures had to be persuaded to take a different route. Runners ran along Ruislip Road East and turned into Cuckoo Avenue, some wearing costumes so I saw a gorilla, a Star Wars stormtrooper and Batman run past. One of those running in support of Epilepsy Action, the marathon’s official charity, was Poppy Bradbury, the reporter for the Greenford and Northolt Gazette. Please click here to donate through her fundraising page. Well done to everyone who took part.
