Jubilee Parade, Greenford Road

There are probably hundreds of similar parades of shops, dating from the 1930’s, in suburban high streets around the UK but I doubt if they are all as well preserved as this one. Jubilee Parade has the date it was completed, 1935, proudly emblazoned on its facade. When it was new it probably provided very modern and convenient accommodation for shopkeepers and other tenants above the premises. Still smart and stylish by day it also looks quite spectacular at night when the shops and restaurants are lit up.
