Olympic and Paralympic results, Sudbury Hill Station

The closing ceremony of the Paralympics was held yesterday and a parade of all GB athletes took place today. The staff at Sudbury Hill Station have put up bunting and regularly posted information about results. It gives me an opportunity to show off this wonderful Art Deco Underground station, rebuilt in 1931 to a design by Charles Holden.

You can see daytime images of the station on a blog called “Modern Architecture London” but if you are a fan of modernism please take a look at another wonderful site, “Modernism in Metroland”.

  1. what a really lovely gesture… the staff have got into the spirit of the games,
just a shame the cleaners dont do the outside stone work. and pavement.

Let me know what you think...
