Bramble Patch Field, next to Greenford Road

The summer is coming to an end and we’re having some very hot days although it is much cooler at night. The grass in this field, in the angle of Greenford Road and the Grand Union canal, has been cut and baled, although it’s been left alone at the edges. The ground drops away quite steeply from the main road so you almost forget that it’s there. The air was filled with insects, including enormous iridescent blue dragonflies that sailed about in the sunlight.
