SLOW DOWN sign, Ruislip Road

This section of Ruislip Road passes through a residential area but some drivers can’t resist speeding along here. One solution to the problem is a sign that only flashes up when an approaching car is travelling too fast.

a flashing sign seems to be no deterent, and they flash when i am doing less than the speed required. as the one on the ruislip road near Ravenor Park entrance, only a fine would do the trick

    • The problem with issuing fines is that so many go unpaid. The sort of person who habitually drives too fast either regards fines as part of the cost of owning a car or doesn’t bother paying them.

Let me know what you think...
