Flags, Leaver Gardens

The residents of these houses have entered into the spirit of the Olympics by displaying some flags. I managed to identify Wales, the UK, the USA, Argentina, Jamaica, India, South Africa, Spain, Kenya and Scotland so either these are very diverse households or they are the only flags they could get hold of.

otherwise known as MHO, Multiple Occupancy Houses possibly? nice touch! the flags i mean!

    • I’ve always found the term “Multiple Occupancy House”, meaning a house where the payment of rent is shared by a number of people, rather misleading. Surely every family home could be described this way? It is entirely possible that those living in these houses are like me in that they can claim ancestry in a number of countries – I have French, Scottish, Irish and Portuguese ancestors – so all those flags could be relevant to those households. One of the best things about Greenford is that we have people from all over the world living here.

Let me know what you think...
