Labour party sign, Greenford Road

I have seen hardly any of these signs, indicating how residents will vote in the forthcoming election. Away from the media it is hard to tell that anything of that nature is happening at the moment. Apathy, a lack of awareness of local issues and a population which is now largely transient mean that decisions affecting hundreds of people can go unchallenged even if residents don’t like the impact they eventually have on their lives. I suspect that a great many people don’t even understand the various levels of government that exist in London.
