Polluted brook, Paradise Fields

You can never tell whether these incidents are down to ignorance or laziness but it seems someone poured diesel down a drain which contaminated the water in this wetland area. Specialists are now working to clean up the mess.

    • It is really frustrating when this kind of thing happens because the local council spends a fortune telling people how to dispose of just about everything properly, often in several different languages! Dog owners can keep their pets away from the water but there is no way of preventing wildlife from reaching it. At least the smell has gone.
