Braund Avenue allotments, seen from Ruislip Road

There are some very long waiting lists for allotments in Greenford, in fact some only become available because previous tenants have died. There has been an increase in the number of people who want to grow their own food, for all sorts of reasons, and as so many local residents live in flats or houses without a garden allotments have become even more popular. Any spaces like this are an important local resource and also play a vital part in wildlife conservation.
