A Piccadilly line train leaves Sudbury Hill Station carrying commuters to work. One of the advantages of living in a house that backs onto a line is that it’s a short walk (or run) to the station. The trains are surprisingly quiet and new residents get used to what noise there is fairly quickly. Originally operated by the Metropolitan District Railway, this section of track became part of the Piccadilly line in 1932.
