Grand Union Canal, Greenford Road

A cyclist disturbs a heron on the bank of the Grand Union Canal, which connects London to Birmingham. The towpath along which horses pulled the boats carrying goods across the UK is now popular with walkers as well as cyclists. This view, from the east side of the bridge on Greenford Road, is a complete contrast to that on the other which has a more industrial appearance. In the distance is Horsenden Hill.
